Founded in 2010 by AI and Cyber Security experts from the mobile industry and defence research industry, nquiringminds has been building secure data sharing solutions for Central Government, the Public Sector and Industrial Manufacturing and Agriculture.

Dr Nicholas Allott
Nick is CEO of NQM. Previous positions include Engineering Director at Motorola, CTO for FastMobile (acquired by RIM), CTO of both the international standards organisation OMTP and Wholesale Application Community. Nick has a PhD in AI and is a Visiting Professor at University of Southampton
Anita Allott
Anita is Director of Strategy with previous roles at Roke, Siemens, PriceWaterhouse, and CIMA. She studied Economics at Nottingham University, holds an MBA from Henley, and has a large body of published work.
Dr Alexandru Mereacre
Alexandru is a senior software developer working on industrial and consumer applications. He had experience working with embedded systems and IoT. Currently he specialises in software and hardware security for Industry 4.0 and healthcare.
Dr John Manslow
John has more than 20 years of experience producing commercial software based on machine learning and adaptive systems technologies in applications as diverse as commercial credit scoring, radioisotope detection and identification, user experience optimisation, fraud detection and videogames.
Toby Ealden
Toby is a developer with over 15 years experience building apps for desktop, web, and mobile using C++ and C#, .NET and all web technologies.
Hannah Dalton
Hannah has a background in environmental monitoring and assessment and has been successfully managing projects in a variety of sectors for over 25 years. Hannah is a Chartered Scientist and has a first class degree in Physics from Nottingham University.
Dr Michelle Lowe FAcSS FRSA
Michelle is Director of Innovation at NQM. She has a PhD from St Catherine's College, University of Cambridge, and over 35 years experience as a 'career academic', latterly as Professor of Strategy and Innovation and Associate Dean at the Russell Group University of Southampton. Michelle served as Lead Innovation Fellow at the prestigious ESRC/EPSRC Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM). She has a genuine passion for collaborative innovation, with a strong track record of industry impact.
Anthony McCaigue
Tony is a Technical Lead with expertise in mathematics, machine learning, and DevOps. He leads innovative UI/UX design, optimizes development operations, and effectively communicates technical strategies, representing the company in key engagements.
Dr Ashley Setter
Ash is a seasoned full-stack software developer and handles data analytics from diverse datasets across multiple domains. He is an expert in cyber-security, data analysis, satellite data monitoring. A PhD in Physics, Ash delivers data-driven insights and meaningful analysis in every project at NQM.
Suzanne Gamon
Suzanne graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol. She has successfully managed businesses throughout her career and in her spare time, volunteers with the Guide Dogs Service. Suzanne speaks fluent German and oversees the running of the Southampton office at NquiringMinds.
Ionut Bostan
Ionut is a first class programmer and was awarded the Gold-I Prize for his achievements at Surrey in CUDA C parallel programming. He has an extensive career and has undertaken diverse projects spanning deep learning to ARM assembly. He is passionate about technology and hiking.
James Richardson
James holds a Master of Engineering with First Class Honours in Computer Science with AI. He is passionate about Cyber Security penetration testing and also using programming principles and techniques to interpret the real world, including image formations, edge detection and feature extraction. He enjoys skydiving and fixing up cars
Natasha Allott
Natasha is a qualified Physiotherapist and has worked extensively in hospitals across Wales and London in intensive care and across Physiotherapy domains. She is currently completing her PhD in biomechanics and data-driven diagnostic innovation at Imperial College London alongside assisting the development of AI driven clinical innovation at NquiringMinds.
Henry Pearson
Henry graduated with a First Class Honours in Software Engineering. He programs both professionally and as a hobby, constantly honing his skills in full-stack engineering, DevOps, and sysadmin work. Henry competes in Hackathons and won the ‘NanoHack’ hosted by ECSS in 2021 at the University of Southampton. He enjoys MMA and building keyboards.
Ben Curtis
Ben Graduated With a Bsc in Computer Science from The University of Southampton. He spent much of the degree looking at low-level networking and machine learning and is now applying those skills at Nquiringminds. He worked with Henry to win the Nanohack hackathon and enjoys rock climbing and spending time in nature with friends.
