It is internationally recognised for electronics and computer science, engineering and web science, and hosts major research groups in energy, climate and cyber security, including an NCSC-recognised Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research.

The University of Southampton is a research-intensive Russell Group university and NQM’s longest-standing academic partner — NQM is headquartered in Southampton and has deep ties to its Electronics and Computer Science department and Energy and Climate Change Division.
