The Isle of Wight Council (IWC / IoWC) is the unitary local authority for the Isle of Wight, providing the full range of local-government services — including social care, education, planning, highways and waste — for the island’s roughly 140,000 residents. The Council has adopted a “Mission Zero” climate and environment strategy targeting a carbon-neutral island by 2040.
