Fraunhofer FOKUS (Institute for Open Communication Systems) is a Berlin-based research institute of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest applied-research organisation. It researches and prototypes open communication and digital-infrastructure technologies — including interoperable networks, public-sector digitalisation and connected mobility — and frequently coordinates large European collaborative research projects.
