About the Role
NquiringMinds builds trusted data and AI products used in some of the most demanding environments: cyber security, defence, healthcare analytics and local-government data platforms. As Engineering Director you will lead the engineering organisation behind those products — owning technical strategy, delivery quality and the growth of the team, and working alongside the CTO and product leadership to ship dependable, commercially successful software.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and grow the engineering team across the product portfolio
- Own technical delivery: architecture, quality, security and timelines across concurrent product streams
- Set engineering standards and practices — secure development, CI/CD, testing and documentation
- Drive the product roadmap with product management, balancing new features, platform investment and customer deliveries
- Work with commercial leadership to translate customer requirements into delivery plans
- Hire, mentor and develop engineers, building clear progression within the team
- Stay hands-on enough to review designs and unblock the hard problems
